Up and down the country regional accents, words and phrases are a massive part of our history and culture. Some stand out so much they are instantly recognised as Glaswegian, Tyke or Geordie dialect. Recent research from LNER however reveals that almost half of Brits think the number of people speaking with a traditional accent is falling. Quite a sad fact indeed but one that hasn’t gone unnoticed. This month with London North Eastern Railway, I was lucky enough to work on their Track Record campaign. A wonderful, charming audio poem created to celebrate people, places and regional accents along the scenic LNER route.
As we go about our daily lives we constantly change between smart and casual outfits. From dress trousers to jeans. Tailored blazers to leather jackets, we are always altering our look. There is however an item which we wear consistently, everyday, without fail, well at least most of us do… I’am of course talking about underwear. For me its always a pleasure taking a little trip down to London, a place packed full of style, exciting new developments and concepts. At Nyumba, number one Sloane Square, I caught up with Pietro Simone to see and try out the treatment for myself.

A short and sweet post but one which I just had to write about is that of Orlebar Brown and their new Jack swim shorts. It is a brand which I have always admired and for me pioneered the tailored swim short and re introduction of the stylish terry towelling polo shirt in true Pablo Picasso Cote d’Azur style.
Accessories are something which I’am always varying with my outfits, different watch straps and the one which I probably chop and change the most, belts. Its amazing how they can alter the appearance of your denims, shorts or trousers instantly and add a sharp new edge.
Music to our ears, and not just an engine note, legendary British car maker Aston Martin is branching out a little further with the opening of a beautiful boutique store on the famous Dover Street in London. The luxury store will feature some high end products new and old which have already partnered with Aston Martin. You can expect Hackett London, FPM, Silver Cross, Marma London and Quintessence Yachts in the most delicious of surroundings.
